About Daniele

Daniele Foti-Cuzzola is a Perth-based writer, creative consultant and home cook based in Perth, Western Australia.

Inspired by his Italian heritage and the storytellers around his family table, Daniele has built a career where he focuses predominately on creating and sharing food and cultural related content. Throughout his career Daniele has written for multiple publicaitons inlcuding The Sunday Times, Perth Now, Scoop, Scenestr, Segmento and The Record and has shared his family recipes on the Netflix’s The Chefs’ Line, Channel Nine’s The Morning Show and Foxtel’s The Couch. Daniele has also appeared on ABC 720, 6PR FM and Mix 94.5 FM where he has shared cooking tips and advice and he can currently be seen presenting West Australian Opera and Visit Perth’s brand new digital series Cooking with Opera.

Daniele is equally passionate about culture and the arts as he is about Italian cuisine and was appointed as a Lavazza Italian Film Festival Ambassador alongside Emmy-winner Greta Scacchi and was an ambassador of the City of Fremantle’s Little Italy by the Sea festival. Daniele also regularly contributes to West Australian Opera’s official blog series and has worked in a creative consultant capactiy, working on social media, publicity and marketing campaigns for major cultural events inlcuding West Australian Opera’s City of Perth Opera in the Park and the Town of Bassendean’s NAIDOC week celebrations.

Always eager to tell a story, Daniele will be releasing one of his own original stories, a bi-lingual children’s book with Italian illustrator Daniela Priuti-Ciarello later this year.

When time permits, Daniele runs cooking workshops from his home in Perth, Western Australia. On this site Daniele will regularly share easy to follow family recipes, engaging cultural content and interviews with individuals who have contirbuted to a more enriching multicultural landscape.
